Chapter 19. I'm Not Hangry
November 26th, xxxx - KAMIL'S POV
A LIVID BARK AND a bang makes Kamil jump on his trek towards the Alpha’s office.
He meets the Alpha’s driver, Nia on the steps to the door, her short bob framing the sharpness of square face, her neck bigger than his hands. (Her huge frame is a loss the soldiers mourn about, strength wasted on driving job)
She opens her mouth to greet him but promptly forgets about him when a sniffling Nuka comes flying out the door, closing it softly despite his hurry.
In an instant, Nia is by Nuka. She cradles his face gently and asks questions but Nuka can’t seem to get a word out the more he cries.
“He can not speak to you that way just because he’s the Alpha,” Nia says, “He can’t treat you however he feels like. That’s abuse of power.”
“No, it’s not him. It’s my fault. I wasn’t... I don’t listen.”
