Chapter 67. I Hate It When We Fight

KAMIL'S POV

February 8th, xxxy

KAMIL WAKES UP TO find Precious caresssing his face like a breeze. Precious looks like someone who had a restless sleep. He knows this because Precious restlessness woke him up several times.

It has only been seven days since Precious memorial and Kamil reckons he is far from moving on from what happened that day.

Blame is a constant game for Precious who is playing on different levels and he is obviously far from winning.

Precious is right. There is nothing Kamil can say that can make it better. In fact, he might have made things worse by inadvertently comparing him to his Mum.

Kamil wants to say that is not what he meant. He didn't say his Mum is better than. He just meant Precious is like his Mum. Kind. Precious being the opposite where the runts are concerned is worrying.

Precious speaks first, his voice clear. An indication he has been awake awhile.

"Let's not fight. I hate it when we fight."
