LATA'S LAUGH DISTRACTS ALPHA North Star from the words of Elder Evatri. Craning his head towards the Captain's backyard, he sees Lata, Rana and Kamil on their hunkers in a circle, a large book on Lata's laps, Community Princess napping by Kamil's feet.

He wonders what they are talking about, and when Rana laughs, he wonders what prompts their laughter.

Unlike other Shifters, he can not eavesdrop as easily and clearly and won't be able to focus on his surroundings if he does.
