Chapter 11. Walking Down the Aisle
Adeline’s POV
I gulped hard, my throat tightening as I saw my father standing at my door. He was waiting for me with his stuff posture.
He was to walk me down the aisle.
Which meant I was already running late.
“Uhm… Can you give me a few minutes, Father?” I asked hesitantly.
“There’s no more time, Adeline,” he snapped.
My father was a man who lacked patience as a virtue. Patience and my father are two parallel line.
“You’ve spent too much time already. Or do you want Theodore to change his mind?”
His words stung.
“Don’t you realize we’re about to become family with the Alpha? You aren’t meant to keep him waiting!” His voice rose, echoing off the walls.
Exactly what I was saying. He lacked patience and besides, the bride is never late. Only that in this care, ours was different.
It wasn’t really a proper wedding built in love and the rest. This was a wedding built on agreement.
