Adeline’s POV
“There are some things we’ve been trying to fix in the pack,” Theodore said, standing in front of the mirror, buttoning his shirt.
I sat on the bed, watching him.
Watching the way his muscles flexed on his skin.
The way his broad chest moved with each breath he took.
The way his fingers worked steadily through the buttons, steady and controlled.
God, I wanted to touch him.
To feel him.
But I couldn’t.
Three months.
Three long months since our wedding.
Since everything changed. He suddenly became absent unlike the first night we spent together.
He wasn’t really absent—not physically.
But he wasn’t here either.
Not with me.
Since the night we got married, it was like something inside him had snapped.
Like he had been living with regret.
Or worse—like he had suddenly become disgusted by me. Or was pouring the anger he had on Iris on me.
