Chapter 7. Not a Honeymoon
Danas was silent and didn't answer. "Danas," Melvin called. This time his voice was a little higher.
All women want to be adored, to be pampered, why am I suffering this fate. Was I wrong to want a caring husband?! All women want the same thing. But, I have to throw all those wishes away, for me to hope for that to happen is just futile.
Danas' eyes lined up with Melvin's hazel ones, then moved closer to her husband.
She knew that he was maintaining an image, but it made her heart ache. Melvin's pretense cut deep into her heart. It wasn't sincerity when they were intimate, but everything was fake.
Melvin who cares, is a fake. The smiling and warm Melvin is a fake.
