Chapter 8. All Wrong in Your Eyes
Danas's heart was beating so hard, he gripped the glass in his hand tightly. His heart ached, as if a thorn had been shot straight to the bottom of his heart.
A big secret like this was very painful for him. Tears imperceptibly rolled down her cheeks, quickly wiped away by her.
"Madam, are you okay?" asked Rangga who saw his master's wife crying.
"Yes, it's okay, go ahead."
Rangga looked at the girl for a moment.
"God, why did You give such a trial to such a strong-hearted woman. You should have made her marry a man who can appreciate her more than she appreciates herself," Rangga felt compassion.
He told her everything he knew while looking at Danas' response, he knew she was hurt and devastated to know everything.
There was only a forced smile on Danas' lips, but her eyes couldn't lie if she was hurt by the whole explanation.
