Adele's POV

"A baby," Chris replied and my eyes widened the more, if that's even possible. 

I searched his face and they gave no information to me about what he just asked.

"What?" I inquired back in a very calm voice. 

I don't know what to think or say about what he just asked. My head is all blank. 

"I am joking," he said with a grin on his face and I released the breath I did not know I was holding. 

"God," I sighed before placing my forehead on his. 

"Do you want one?" I asked, my lips close to his. 

"Yes," Chris replied and I took my forehead off him immediately. 

Well, what was I expecting his answer to be?

Of course, he wants a baby!

"From me?" I questioned without reasoning and Chris smiled. 

"If not you, then who?" he asked back and I felt that sting at the back of my eyes. 

My eyes went blurry and I looked down from his face as I closed my eyes. <
