Chapter 16

Kitty awoke groggily with a start. That alarm had been making a buzzing sound. She slammed the stop button! She flung her arm around the bed in search of her husband, Jason. What?! He was gone. She opened her eyes, and as soon as the blanket shifted from her body, she felt a blast of chill air swept into her exposed flesh. She wrapped herself with the blanket as she stood up. She peered out the window realizing why it was so damn cold.

It had rained without her knowledge. She sighed softly. She remembered having one of the sweetest nights that she had had in a few months. Why was she even accepting this marriage as a contract anyway? The answer nudged her, and she was feeling resolved again. Jason, although sweet, couldn't keep his dick in his pants, or at least just for her. Rather than have hope for a better future, this was as close as possible as they could get to sustain their relationship, which was turning sour.
