Jason’s POV

Jason couldn't stop thinking about what Kitty had told him when she called. He wondered what she might want to say, whether she was tired of them or if she wanted to end things. He questioned what was wrong with her or the baby.

Jason's mind kept wandering, making it difficult to concentrate on his job. He couldn't stop thinking about what she had told him. He didn't want her to leave, and if he saw her heading in that direction, he was going to beg her to come back to him.

Jason received a call from his secretary, informing him that the partner had agreed and they were ready for a Zoom call. He asked for thirty minutes to freshen up so he would be in the right frame of mind.
