Kitty’s POV

I was in our hot tub relaxing because I took a few days off work to mourn, but somehow, I turned into a mini vacation to lay off the stress for a while before going back to work. Jason has been relaxed as well, but he went back to work after the day we spent together watching movies. After today, I will be going back to work, so I had enough time today to do all the things I wanted to do, which was practically nothing!

My classical music played from the speakers, and I had lots of fruits on a platter; this day could not get any better. I leaned back and closed my eyes. I was in my happy place, and nothing could spoil that. I was relaxed for the first time in so many years. Even my baby agreed with me.

Jason and I decided to let go of the drama and violence in our lives and focus more on working and building up our family; I was right where I wanted to be mentally, and I liked it. I made funeral arrangements for my sister, and I was finally at peace with
