Chapter 48. Brent's Feelings
Brent drove the car very fast. He cursed Chris the whole way. He was furious at the thought of his brother trying to meet and bother his wife after all the bad things he had done to her.
When his car entered the courtyard of the cafe, he finally saw Chris standing outside the entrance. The brown-haired man was tapping on the glass door while grinning.
“That’s him. How dare he!” Brent turned off the engine of his car. However, before he could get out, Chris had already noticed him. The man laughed and quickly fled in a car parked a short distance away.
“Asshole!” Brent cursed, but he didn’t chase after him. It was late. He didn’t want to make a scene outside and attract the attention of many people. Beverley needed him more, anyway.
Brent quickly ran to the café door and shouted, “Beverley, it’s me, Brent!”
