Mona looked around and saw Mrs. Donovan walking out of the kitchen, after Leo left.

”Did your friend leave already ? You didn’t quarrel, did you?”

Mona didn’t say anything. She only raised her eyebrows and stared at Mrs. Donovan.

Mrs. Donovan didn’t know she had made a mistake until then. “I’m sorry,” she responded right away. “I was just worried that you would be in a bad mood. I didn’t mean anything else.” She looked nervous and bowed her head.

Mona smiled weakly and said, “It doesn’t matter. We are not friends.”

”Ah? Okay. Because It looks like you two are close...”

”It’s not your business.” Mona stopped her in a low voice and went upstairs, unhappy.
