Chapter 6
A month later, Habiba was fully okay and ready to be discharged. Adil was beyond happy that his wife was going to be okay.
After they arrived home, he left for his house to get some rest because he had been stressed out over the past two months they had been in the hospital. Habiba lay down in her bed, having a thought of what would happen next because she overheard her parents saying she would follow him back to Nigeria. She sighed and turned to the other side, hoping she’d sleep soon.
She heard a soft knock on the door, and it gently opened.
“My dear, are you asleep already?” Mom asked, sitting on Habiba’s comfy bed. She kept the cup in her side drawer and lightly tapped her on the shoulder. “I know you’re not asleep. Get up and have some tea before you take your medicine.”
