Chapter 7
Habiba smiled and let the happiness soak right into her weak bones. Her smile was one of happiness growing, much as a spring flower opens. He could see how it came from deep inside to light her eyes and spread into every part of her. A person smiles with more than their mouth, and he heard it in her voice, in the choice of her words and the way she relaxed. It was beautiful.
“I believe you. I believe every word that comes out of your mouth, and I will follow you anywhere you take me as long as you’ll be there with me.” He beamed also and clasped their hands together. He kissed her soft hand yet again. “And I will never let you down, In sha Allah.”
“Let me go get your breakfast,” she said to him and stood up. The maid was setting the tray that her mom ordered her to do when Habiba sauntered in. “This is for our guest?” She asked, moving closer to the tray. The maid nodded, “Yes, ma’am.”
Habiba smiled and took the tray, but she stopped her. “Please allow me to do it,
