"Whatever relationship I have with her is none of your business. The only reason I allow you to hang around me is because of that conversation." He seethed.
Against my better reasoning, I expected him to blurt that I was his wife. I mentally slapped my face because something was definitely wrong with me.
She stomped her foot on the ground vehemently, trying to voice out words which remained stuck in her throat. Her jaw was clenched as if she was barely stopping herself from throwing a punch at Dexter. "You are so annoying." She said through gritted teeth. "You promised to do whatever I wanted, is this how you keep to your word?"
Really?
He made a promise to her after confessing that there was nothing between them?
There and then, I realised that I'd been such a fool. Listening to their banters would do nothing to eliminate the pain I felt so I spun around and stormed off in search of a cafe.
