The moment Maverick came out of the Chinese restaurant wiping off the tears from her face, I knew it didn’t go as she planned.
“Maverick.” I helped her get in the car and pulled her in my arms.
“He’s the most vicious man I’ve ever met. I’m even ashamed that that man was my father. I am disgusted that I tried to find him. Maybe I should have just left him alone.”
