I opened the door of Mom's bedroom and walked in, she was on the bed, and her skin looked so pale and white.

"You said she was stable and she was getting better..." I turned to Aldrich, that was what he told me.

I reached out to Mom on the bed, there was juice on the table beside her. I took it and examined it, and then I inhaled.

I could smell the poison from it, and it was more than the amount she was taking before.

I dropped it back on the table.

"The dosage of the poison that was administered to Mother has increased. It wasn't this much before."

Aldrich picked up the glass of juice. "It has to be because of your outstanding performance in the trials and the Validation from the Wolf-Shrine," Aldrich said
