Chapter 173. Making Apologies

Sienna’s POV

‘Sienna,’ A voice whispered in my mind ‘Are you awake? Can you hear me?’

I was already lazily opening my eyes before I heard Rose’s voice call my name, and as my eyes focused around the room, I thought it had all been a terrible dream.

‘I am now,’ I responded to my wolf ‘I had this really awful dream that the witch, Hazel did some terrible things.’

I had managed to already convince myself that what happened with Hazel and me was in fact, a terrifying nightmare. It had to be, I had woken up in my warm, comforting bed in my own home, and I wanted to think that what happened previously was all in my imagination.

‘I’m afraid that wasn’t a dream, my love,’ Rose said gently ‘Do you need to talk about it?’

‘Where did you go?’ I asked, remembering that Rose had disappeared from my side abruptly. Leaving me to fight my losing battle with Hazel on my own ‘You were meant to protect me, it’s your duty as my wolf.’
