Chapter 181. Inhumane and Unfair

Jared’s POV

I was having one of those incredibly vivid dreams which had taken a hold of me, its grasp tight around my mind. I struggled to wake myself up, but I told myself I had to.

‘Wake up!’ I screamed to myself internally ‘Wake up now, Jared!’

The flashes of nightmare images filled the inside of my head. The poor people, no, werewolves that were locked up in cages. Their bodies carved out, starved and bleeding from the torture.

Carcasses being dragged away after another experiment failed, their lifeless bodies tossed onto the pile of ever growing people.

The images burned my eyes, and I wished I could rid myself of them. I wanted to forget, to escape from the tight grasp the Werewolf Hunter Guild had around me. They didn’t deserve this, especially Sienna.

‘You are young and ignorant of the world around you, Jared,’ Gerald’s voice echoed in my mind as my brain recited past words from the Guild leader.
