Freya’s POV

Rufus’s lips met mine, his warmth sinking into me as we kissed. His hands grabbed at me, wrapping his fingers around my waist as he pulled me into him. The warmth of his body and his need felt like it could burn me with his passion. A passion I had desired to feel once more, the desire of my husband and the love of my life.

“God I missed you,” Rufus purred into my ear before taking his lips to my neck. I exhaled a moan as he nipped at my flesh, his hands grabbing my curves with force with need. His fingers felt tight against my skin, not painful, but a sensation that made me think he was worried he might not ever get to feel the sensation ever again.

I had known how Rufus felt though, so much had gone on between us, that neither of us knew if our lives would last long enough to enjoy each other once more. We hadn’t known when the last time we made love would actually be our last. But we didn’t have to worry about that anymore.
