Freya’s POV

“Lara!” I gasped. “I don’t know what you mean, I haven’t seen Jared in weeks,” I paused, thinking about my current situation. “Quite literally, I’ve been in a coma. Can you tell me what you mean?”

“Jared promised he would come back for me, but he didn’t.” She said as I watched the tears formed in her eyes. “Jared would never leave me alone, and you’ve done something to him.”

“I doubt that,” I said, feeling the frustration rise inside me as Lara insinuated I was responsible for whatever has happened to Jared.

I watched Lara tremble, her skin fell pale and she seemed to shiver where she stood. The angry look in her eyes faded and she seemed so small and vulnerable.

“Lara,” Sienna’s voice called from behind, she lingered in the doorway. “You’re here,” She paused. “Did Jared not find you?” Carrying a tray of hot drinks, Sienna placed them to the side to place a kind hand on Lara’s arm.
