Lucas's POV

“My Lord, Mistress Miatta is in the Hall of Alphas with her group.”

I paused in my dressing, closing my eyes at the sound of Ryker's news. She couldn't stay away from me no matter how hard she tried, could she? I grinned, wondering what to do with the information.

“And?”

Ryker was taken aback by my question, clearing his throat in the silence. “I just. . . I just thought you would like to know, my Lord. Pardon me if I seemed too forward.”

He had not seemed too forward and was probably informing me because of last time. He had tried to play a fast one on me and it had not ended well for him. If Miatta was there with her group, it meant they were cleaning the palace. That was not a job cut out for my future Luna though.
