Chapter 78. Different Goals

Miatta's POV

“What? Tomorrow??” It was too soon, sooner than I thought possible. I thought that with the time I had left, I could be able to come up with a plan or something to save Addy. I had three days initially but all thanks to Lucas, I didn't have that advantage anymore.

“Miatta—”

“No! No!” I jumped off his laps, not wanting to be anywhere near him at the moment. “You always do this. You always think you know best, so, you go behind me and make decisions that later come back to bite you in the ass. But this time. . . it's not about you and me; Addy's life is hanging in balance too and you singlehandedly ruined her chances!”

I paced for a short while, unable to settle down with the pressure mounted on my chest. Oh goddess, what was I to do now? How could I save Addy. . .how could I. . .? I bent over and scream
