Miatta's POV

I returned to my group and was relieved that they had not encountered any difficulties in my absence. For some reason, I couldn't sense Lucas anywhere in the palace or I would have asked him where everybody went.

We were almost rounding up when I caught the whiff of his scent in the air. My body froze before my brain could give the order and I heard his footsteps approaching from somewhere in the Hall of Alphas.

"Is that. . ." Taylor gasped, glancing beyond me and immediately fell on her knees. My body tingled with excitement, too aware of his proximity. One after the other, all the members of Group White went on their knees, leaving me alone on my feet.
