My head snapped toward the large glass window of the cafeteria, scanning the busy street outside for any familiar faces.

My stomach clenched with unease.

I sighed, forcing a polite smile toward Henrry, whose expression had shifted to one of mild surprise and perhaps a touch of concern as he subtly glanced at my phone screen.

“I apologize for that, Henrry,” I said, my voice steadier than I felt. “That’s... well, please just forget what you saw. Just tell me your number and I’ll add you to my contacts.”

He nodded, professional mask sliding back into place as he recited his phone number, which I quickly entered.
