Chapter 156. Blood Red Yacht
Silvia POV
“Took you long enough...”Mason’s voice sliced through the tension with casual indifference.
Moon Goddess, he really had no off switch.
Sherman’s head snapped toward him so fast I thought I heard a vertebra crack.
His eyes flared with barely contained rage before swinging back to meand that’s when the bottom dropped out of my stomach.
What was left on his face was something raw and gutted, like I’d just hit him with a truck full of betrayal.
“You’re actually pregnant?” he asked, voice strained. “And he knew?”
The way he looked at mewide-eyed, stunned, heartbrokenhit harder than any slap could’ve. My breath caught, and suddenly every ounce of guilt I’d been sweeping under the emotional rug came rushing up like it was on fire.
Yeah, I’d kept it from him.
At first, it was survival mode. But somewhere along the way, it got messier than that.
I’d been pissed. Nofurious. Yeah, I’d been furious with him.
