Alpha Sherman was gripping too tightly.
The pressure wasn’t enough to cause real pain, but it made me flinch slightly.
Alpha Sherman immediately loosened his hold, a flash of regret crossing his features.
“I’m sorry,” he murmured, his voice low enough for only me to hear, but his entire body radiated tension like heat waves from a forest fire.
