Chapter 85

Gabriel's POV

I can now hold my rose again! I'm so proud of my mate as she picked me over the mate bond. She is the love of my life, and I wouldn't have had it any other way! I was already afraid that in order to get her, I would have to challenge Alpha Derrick for his mate and pack. But once more, my mate picked me. 

Rosalie and I get into the rear seat of the car when we arrive there. I hug her close to me after a fruitless week of looking for her. I've been so broken and dejected. But I'm over that now.

"Sweetheart, do you really not recall anything?" I pose a serious question. Her words about her partially losing her memory alarmed me. It stung a lot that she didn't know me when I stood in front of her. However, she made it up to demonstrate that our bond goes beyond that of a mate. She shook her head pitifully.
