He never acknowledged or loved me. We had a one-sided mate bond; I couldn't help but love him, but he was always able to resist it. Gerald has now shown me that, mate bond or not, he doesn't care about me and is amenable to any female approaching him. He's always been bothered by my age, but Fiona is still younger than his son Gabriel and not that much older than me.
