Chapter 99

Zeila's POV

I sprint toward the flower garden of the pack house, Rosalie's hand in mine. Luna Amber is going to arrange some gorgeous daisies in the dining room vase after getting them. We are the most pampered pups in the pack, and my friend and I are having a great time together. 

The world darkens, a black curtain descends, and Rosalie's hand leaves mine. In a state of desperation, I scream out to her; she answers, but her voice sounds distant. After some time, lights start flashing in front of me, hurting my eyes. I blink a few times till I adjust, but after a while I give up and can't keep my eyelids open.

I see the bright light once more when I emerge from the shadowy valley and carefully separate my eyelids. But I'm able to see it more clearly this time. Then I hear shouts of happiness, and I immediately notice Rosalie, Kristine, and Gabriel's voices in between.
