Dylan didn’t sit up until the next day. Foden and the other warriors had to leave for the pack’s border to avoid making the neighbors uncomfortable. Now that Dylan was awake, Mona felt more relaxed and could get some sleep with the assurance that he had been able to overcome the storm.

Fluttering his eyes at the early morning sunlight hurting them, Dylan sat up. His throat felt dry, but he chose not to pour himself water placed next to him. He tried to remember how he got to where he was, but that didn’t matter more than the fact that he was awake.
