Chapter 9

Leila's POV 

I remember making the decision months ago to stay twenty miles away from the brutal Lycan King. He was a monster. One which if I set my eyes on in the dream, I might end up dead. That decision was destroyed two minutes ago. I waited for a few minutes maybe she would end up saying that she was joking even though I know that Lady Vee never jokes. Over the past weeks, I have stayed here, I realized one thing, lady Vee was an uptight witch. 

"It's your turn to serve the Lycan King Leila". She repeated herself when she saw that I made no effort to move.  

"Oh, and I know about your dumb tricks of exchanging your duty post with others. Just so you know, it won't work this time". She said smiling widely. I was ready to fall at her feet and beg her with my life but she turned to walk away with her silhouette tapping the ground noisily. Okay, I am so done. 

"You better start going now. The king does not like to be kept waiting". H
