Chapter 133. The Shadow Leech
The driver sped wildly into the woods, causing the car to bump violently against the harsh terrain. Olive screamed as she was thrown against the door, her head colliding with the glass window. Instantly, she regretted not putting on her seat belt.
A strong arm reached out, grabbed her, and pulled her tight against his side, locking his massive arms around her.
“Wayne, where are they taking us?” Olive asked amidst the frantic bumping of the car. The driver in front just stared straight ahead; he didn’t even sway as the car rocked. There was something deeply wrong with him.
“Only... one way to find out,” Wayne gritted out as the car swerved to avoid hitting a tree. The trees were growing closer together, and the forest was getting denser. There was no way the car could continue at this pace.
“Wayne!” Olive screamed as the car screech
