Chapter 139. Icy Rage

Vanessa gulped and rubbed her arms as the dreadful chill crept over her. Her brother’s eyes had turned a furious red, and his hair began to move as if it had a life of its own again.

As much as she acted carefree and mocked her brother even to his face, she was like everyone else: scared to death of the Big Bad Alpha. She knew what her brother could do—had even seen what he was capable of—and the cowardly part of her was frightened to death of that side of him.

“Alpha... Alpha Knight,” she called out, taking a few steps backward on the floor, which had turned to ice. Her wolf wanted to scamper away from her brother’s rage.

Alpha Knight let out a guttural laugh.

“I should come with who?” he asked in a growl, his voice three times deeper than usual—and his voice was already incredibly deep on a normal day.
