“My angel. Look at you. Look how you turned out—like the empress of the world,” Lily mused, holding Olive and scanning her from head to toe.

“You are so beautiful, Olivera,” Ryan said, and Olive immediately hugged him.

“I missed you so much. I never thought... I lost all hope of ever seeing you again,” she wept.

Ryan smiled and gently patted her hair. “We lost hope, too. As you must have noticed, considering we were ready to hand the Ignis chain over to your little sister.”

Olive smiled and wrapped her arms around her mother’s waist, glancing down at her stomach as if she could see the baby. “Oh my God, she’s going to be so strong. I can feel it. Congratulations, Mom and Dad.”
