Chapter 173. The Senshi Temple

Olive’s face burst into the brightest of smiles when she caught sight of a perfect circle of smooth, pebbled stone on the ground, in an area completely clear of trees. Her heart began to throb rapidly, and a powerful wave of certainty flooded her from the Ignis chain—leaving no doubt that this was the entryway to the Senshi Temple.

“Okay... okay. I’m here. I found it,” she breathed out, approaching the clearing cautiously. She stepped onto the stone circle, treading gently, unsure of what to do next. Her mother had promised she would just know what to do, but at the moment, she felt completely clueless.

Exhausted from the journey, she lay down on the rocks, breathing heavily as she gazed up at the sky, visible for once through the break in the dense canopy. From this vantage point, she could see the distant peak of Mount Fuji rising above the Aokigahara Forest.
