“Gia’s head!” Olive gasped, a chill running down her spine at the revelation.

Wayne nodded, his jaw locked tight. “That’s what it looks like,” he affirmed.

“What are your orders, Alpha?” Jake inquired, his face just as rigid as his Alpha’s.

“Send orders to have her detained at the border. She shouldn’t set foot on our land. Send word to General Kalif to meet me in the boardroom in five minutes.”

Jake nodded and bounded off immediately.

Olive crossed her arms. “What are you thinking?” she asked. His thoughts were so jumbled up that she couldn’t understand a thing.

“Wondering why he went to this extreme just to send a message,” he answered and began to walk. They followed after him.

“Wayne, what if it’s a trap?” Shem asked.
