The which closed her eyes, humming as she swayed to the rhythm.

"I need to talk to you alone," she said suddenly when she opened her eyes.

Lucien immediately turned to look at Daciana asking if she was okay.

Daciana nodded and Lucien stood up.

As soon as Lucien stepped out of the cottage, the witch turned to Daciana and motioned for her to come closer.

"Daciana," the witch said in a grave tone. "I need to tell you something, but it's not going to be easy to hear."

Daciana tensed up, feeling a sense of foreboding wash over her. "What is it?"

The witch hesitated for a moment before continuing. "The sacrifice that needs to be made... it involves something your father holds dear. Something that he values above all else."
