Daciana woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside her window. She slowly opened her eyes, taking a moment to adjust to the sunlight streaming in.

She turned to her side, she frowned when she realized that Lucien wasn't there. She sat up, rubbed the sleep from her eyes, and looked around the room.

It was empty.

Daciana let out a sigh, realizing that Lucien had probably gone out to calm everyone down.

The pack was on edge, Daciana could feel their emotions in their bond but she couldn't assure them, it wasn't her job.

She complained to Lucien last night but he assured her that he would take care of it, she couldn't feel the worry and fear in the bond anymore.

She could only assume he had calmed them.

Lucien was always the one to step up and take charge, reassuring everyone that he would protect them.

Daciana admired his bravery, but sometimes she worried that he was taking on too much, especially when he could pr
