I walked up the stairs, and into the yard. I had one destination; the dark king’s chambers. The only problem was getting there. I made it my mission to stay away from the dark palace, due to how swarmed it was with rogues and barbaric warriors.

I made a turn and slipped into the palace through the back. The moment I burst into the hallway, the whole space was crowded with guards and maids, all walking to their various destinations hastily. I went grim, the atmosphere damping my mood.

I detested being here, but I had promised the princess I would help her and I could not go back on my word. I had no reason to be compassionate towards her, or her kingdom, I had no plan to help her. But the moment she mentioned Elliot’s name, I knew I had to do something.

I took steps further, and I immediately spotted a group of rogues, in a corner laughing and chattering loudly. The sight disgusted me, and I couldn’t help by click my tongue.
