My eyes went so wide, I feared they would fall of, as I gazed at the people that trooped into the cave. They were children, elderly men and woman, and a few young men, but they all looked malnourished.

Some of the were missing a limb, while some looked like they had a permanent brain disorder. Some could barely walk, and they limped, while some of them looked so skinny, their bones were protruding out of their skin.

It was so bad, that I thought their bones would pop out, and tear through their skin. They all stood beside Geraldine, and they could not gaze into my eyes. They all looked downwards, and most of them did not have functioning eyes.

I did not know whether to feel pity, or shock at the sight that was before me. And I couldn’t even look at them, because of how deformed most of them looked. They didn’t look human, and they had a creepy aura surrounding them.
