Chapter 25. Good Girl

Suzie POV

Alex. Blue eyed, brown shoulder length hair. I could recognise his face anywhere. He was a classmate of mine, but we’ve never really spoken much, and that was mostly because of the fact that, he was a target for bullies.

Unlike me, who was lucky enough to escape the bullying, Alex was still being bullied by the loyal followers of the brothers. As I looked up at him, I could not stop the pang that was spreading in my chest. I felt sorry for him, and it hurt that there was nothing I could do.

“I’m honestly, surprised that you remembered me,” He chuckled awkwardly.

“Why wouldn’t I? We kinda used to be friends...I guess,” I said, as I rubbed my arm shyly.

What was I supposed to tell him? Ask him how he felt? How he was doing? I swallowed, my eyes trailing to the ground.

“So, um, how are you these days?” I blurted out.

Alex shrugged, sadness in his eyes as he spoke. “You know, the usuals.”

My shoulders drooped
