“Okay, you’ve got this Suzie, it’s just a small ball, filled with people,” I muttered to myself as I looked at the long mirror in front of me.

I adjusted the collar of my commander uniform and exhaled once again to calm my racing heart. My mother had informed me, a few days go that a small welcome party will be hosting for me, to officially welcome me to the palace and announce me as the princess officially.

She let me know that a lot of well known and respected nobles from all over the kingdom will be attending and that alone made me very nervous. It was no secret that there was a lot of stigma behind the fact that I had appeared out of nowhere and became the princess, especially after the criminal charges that were pressed against me.

Mother wanted me to look my best. She had gotten her stylist to make me a ball gown, but I could not imagine myself feeling comfortable in a dress like that. And to me, going in a dress like that
