“There’s a question that's been bothering me. The same question, I'm sure, bothers every alpha in the werewolf world,” Steven said as he sunk into his seat in his office.

“What question is that?” Gregory asked.

Steven leaned forward, then answered, “Why is Lady Anaya so powerful? Now, I'm not talking about political power or military power; I'm talking about her supernatural abilities. She's just the head of the council—she’s just a Luna, and yet she surpasses every alpha in power. Why?”

“Hmmm, I've never really thought about that before,” Gregory replied.
