Chapter 208. The Assistant
~3RD PERSON'S POV~
Cynthia marched into the cafeteria early in the morning, holding a clipboard with both her hands. Two other maids followed behind her with smiles on their faces. One carried a large, empty basket, and the other carried a wooden tray. Marie and Clarabelle stared at Cynthia silently as she walked to the centre of the cafeteria.
“What’s she up to now?” Marie asked, squinting her eyes.
“She’s just a young, excited maid. I don't think you should take her so seriously, Marie,” Clarabelle said, turning back to Marie.
Cynthia stopped at the centre of the cafeteria, then took a deep breath.
“Good morning, fair ladies of the Mortimer mansion,” she said loudly.
“Good morning, Madame Cynthia.” All the maids in the cafeteria replied in unison.
“Madame?” Clarabelle asked.
“Yeah, the last time she did this, she said everyone should refer to her as Madame now that she's an assistant to the head maid. She's so annoying,” Mar
