A pin-drop silence hovered throughout the building. Everyone cowered, trembling like they were standing on awfully cold ice, enveloped in trepidation.

Vance’s pitch-black eyes search for the grimy, disrespectful Alpha, clenching his fists and ready to wipe the floor with his blood. His nostrils flared, diligently trying to detect his scent. Small stubble of bristling fur began to protrude from his pores. He was about to shift.
