Chapter 28. Chase
Raina’s POV
Furiously speeding through the not-so-busy town at 100 mph, I tailed the female biker, passing several skyscraper buildings through the town. The prey used the idling traffic on the stretch to her advantage, zipping in between vehicles. As challenging as she was trying to make it when she disappeared in front of a slow-moving green garbage truck, my determination soared with a satisfied look at the gas tank being half-full.
You are not getting away, I thought to myself as I slowed down to 70 mph. You messed with the wrong she-wolf.
Turning the steering wheel to the right, I changed lanes, then to the left and back again to overtake the garbage truck and picked up speed. Jamming my horn with the heel of my palm, I tooted for the two sluggish vehicles in front to clear the way for my crazy fast driving. Of course, they pulled over and told me derogatorily about the body parts that I had.
