Valen’s POV
Surprisingly, I did my rounds at the camp without killing anyone. Quite frankly, I was unable to concentrate on anything.
Dad rang my phone, but it was Mom that spoke to me. I listened but terminated the call quickly. I wasn’t in the mood for parental lectures on how to deal with Raina.
A little past 7 a.m., I arrived at the office and shifted into Zeus. He tore the office apart and then allowed me to take human form again.
Sulking like a bluebird, I slouched in the executive chair with my head laid back on the headrest, staring at the ceiling, breathing hard.
Valiant entered the office a bit later. He surveyed the destroyed room and stood before me, scratching the side of his neck.
“Want to talk?” Worry was evident in his tone as he stabbed fingers through his loosely styled black pompadour hair. Little crinkles at the corners of his eyes deepened.
