Theo rubbed his chin, squinting his eyes to recall. “She mentioned something about you being a slobbering jerk.”

My expression hardened and I growled.

“Don’t shoot the messenger.” Theo held up his hands. “You’re the one who asked.”

“You cool if I go and talk to her. I’ll help patch things with Raina,” Theo offered.

All heads swiveled in Theo’s direction with raised brows. The waitress handed Thaines and Theo their bourbon neat. Jason gave her a cocky wink. She flashed him a half-smile before she left us to attend to other customers.

Theo cocked his head to the side and sighed at our skeptical expressions. He flicked his chin at his brother for backup.

“Bro, vouch for me. You know I’m good with women.” Theo sassed, folding his arms across his chest with boosting confidence.

“Suuure.” Jason snickered, with emphasis.
